Courses are held in our studio at 686 The Queensway, Toronto. Consists of 6 classes, each lasting 3 hours, held on Thursday evenings from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
Free parking is available on an interior streets.

Please note that material costs (tiles, etc) are extra. Prices for materials vary depending on the type of project that you choose.

Description

This class is suitable for intermediate students and above. If you successfully finished the basic mosaic course with us, this is a new and innovative way to apply mosaic art. Texture is an element of art, it gives the mosaic a unique feel, it translates the emotions the artist has easily. In this course you will create a 3D sculpture, learn the direct method using thin set, the use of the hammer and hardie, how to choose the colours and texture to achieve your goal in making a textured mosaic art, and you will be introduced to all types of tesserae from Mexican Smalti, Italian Smalti, vitreous glass tiles Opus Romano, Marble, stained glass and more.
